For the last decade, Jon Kaplan Photography have been offering these fall mini sessions as a way for families to start (and continue) a fun and festive family tradition - a day to simply escape and unplug from the stresses of life to share quality time in the beautiful Snohomish valley with your loved ones. Swing by and capture another year of these festivities with US! There are now hundreds of families who have visited us
every year for the last 10 years and they keep coming back.
As Snohomish Valley's original pumpkin patch, Craven Farm is the perfect place for the ultimate fall experience. Navigate through the corn maze, hop on a hayride around the fields with the whole family, pick out your favorite pumpkins and shop from a wide variety of fall home decor trends in their gift shop - there is something here for all ages! Make sure to come hungry, too! Not only can you grab a coffee or latte while you're here, there's a wide variety of delicious food options that will not disappoint - corn dogs, funnel cakes, fresh doughnuts, cheese curds and tons more!

HAVE FUN!
During your 15 minute mini session we will get some fun group photos as well as stunning individuals of the children, some of the kids together and whatever other poses you may be interested in.

SHOW UP
Plan to park at least 20 minutes early as it can take some time to park on a busy day. If you show up to the farm early and we're with a family, please hang tight and we will call your name momentarily. If you're running late just shoot us a text at 425-760-2110 and we'll make it work.
We're trying something new this year. We will email back to your unedited proofs by the following Tuesday, giving you the chance to CHOOSE your edited prints. Send us back which 5 images you would like (or more, with each additional edit being $10/image) and we will email your images back to you within 10 days of receiving your requested edits.

WHAT IF WEATHER IS BAD?
I will reach out to everyone a couple of days leading up to the shoot to chat about your upcoming shoot! Everything from where we're located on the farm, the weather for the upcoming weekend and answer any questions you may have. I want to be as flexible as possible and will work with most people if they would like to move their shoot to a weekend with better weather. I want you all to have fun at your sessions and LOVE your images
CAN WE HAVE DOGS OR OTHER PETS?
Dogs are allowed but only on the following 2 dates: Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, October 29th
DO WE GET MULTIPLE POSES?
Of course! We love to get you a variety of amazing portraits during your session. We love getting portraits of the whole family, individuals of the kids, maybe just the parents? Some of just the kids together? What other fun ideas do you have?
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Well it kind of depends on the weather of the day. If it's raining out, we recommend bringing a rain coat and layering up a bit more, rain boots are always a wise decision. We have a dry place to set your rain gear down during your shoot. As for colors and patterns? We recommend festive fall colors and plenty of grays or earth tones. Patterns should be limited as they can 'busy' an image up and patterns also tend to date an image more as patterns are constantly changing
HAVE YOU WORKED WITH KIDS BEFORE?
Oh yeah! I'm one of the few full time photographers in the region. I've been a full time photographer for 10 years now and in that time frame I have photographed over 3,000 families. One of my many specialties are these mini sessions, so I am no stranger to having to work with children and draw out their smiles and laughter in short amounts of time. ARE YOU STILL OFFERING PRINTS?
We are! You can order prints on top of your Digital Package the day of your shoot OR you can order prints straight from you gallery once you receive your gallery. We do not print on-site anymore, but the print lab we use now is of a much higher quality than we were able to do while printing on the farm. Oh! Also! You get to pick your prints and they ship straight to your home!
CAN WE SIGN UP FOR MULTIPLE SLOTS IF WE WANT MORE TIME?
Definitely! If you get a second slot you won't just get twice the edited images, I'll also work with you to get more poses and a wider array of images for you to love!
